Types of Trips
We offer a number of day trips around Yellowknife as well as
package tours that include airfare, hotel accommodations, and
tours.
Summer Day Tours
Bay Boat Tour
An informative tour of Yellowknife by boat. We focus on three
areas - the history of the City of Yellowknife, the unique geology
of the area, and the houseboat community. We stop on our
houseboat for a tour and a snack so you can see what life on the
water is like. We will also see a number of bird species,
float planes, and boats around the bay. 2 hours, $40 per plus
GST. June-October by reservation, weather permitting.
Fantastic Fish Fry
Enjoy a tour on Great Slave Lake and catch your own dinner!
This is a very popular trip and gives you a bit of everything the
lake has to offer - sightseeing, bird life, fishing, and a great
meal. $95 per person plus GST. June-September by
reservation, weather permitting.

Old Town Walking Tour
Stoll through Yellowknife's history with this tour of Old Town.
Learn about the interesting events, buildings, and characters that
shaped Yellowknife and see why this part of town continues to be a
vibrant and colourful piece of the city. Highlights include
Bush Pilot's Monument, The Wildcat Cafe, Ragged Ass Road, and The
Flats. $29 per person plus GST. Year-round, by
reservation, weather permitting.
Fishing on Great Slave Lake
4 to 12 hour trips on Great Slave Lake for Northern Pike, Arctic
Grayling, and Lake Trout. We also have some multi-day tours
available throughout the summer, contact us for details.
Bush Plane Ride on Floats
The bush plane continues to play a vital role in the North.
This is truly a Northern experience as you zoom over lakes and trees
with your experienced bush pilot. 30 minutes in length.
June-October, by reservation. From $85 per person plus GST (depending on group size).

Yellowknife By Ice
In the depths of winter most people think Great Slave Lake is
asleep, but in fact there is a lot going on in the snow and ice.
This tour takes you on the frozen ice of Yellowknife Bay to learn
about the lake in winter including ice roads, snow castles, and
winter wildlife. We will stop at the houseboat for a tour
inside to warm up and so you can see what life on the lake is like
in the winter. 2 hours, $35 per person plus GST.
December-May by reservation, weather permitting.
Yellowknife By Night - Northern
Lights Viewing
Explore the fascinating sky from Houseboat 28. Just 2 km (1
mi) from downtown Yellowknife we are far enough away from the city
to enjoy a dark sky but close enough that it forms a picturesque
backdrop. Learn about the night sky, get tips on photographing
the Northern Lights, gaze at some of our larger constellations -
including Orion, The Big Dipper, and Cassiopeia. Warm up
inside the houseboat next to the fire and watch out our big windows
for the next bands of light to appear. 4 hours, $65 per person
plus GST. September-April by reservation, weather permitting.
Bush Plane Ride on Skis
The bush plane continues to play a vital role in the North.
This is truly a Northern experience as you zoom over frozen lakes and trees
with your experienced bush pilot. You will take off on a
runway made of ice - something not many people can claim to have
done! 30 minutes in length. December-April, by
reservation. From $85 per person plus GST (depending on group size).
